Riftbound Origins Card List and Set Guide
Origins is where Riftbound started: 298 base cards, plus twelve Overnumbered Legends numbered 299 to 310, released in English on 31 October 2025.
It's also the best-documented set in the game. Origins has published pull rates for every tier, which later sets have never fully matched.
This guide covers the set's structure, its rates, and what the cards are actually worth. Prices come from PriceCharting's Origins set page, pulled 6 October 2026, with rarity conventions cross-checked against RiftCompare's variant glossary. The raw column is the ungraded figure, which blends sold copies across conditions rather than isolating near mint. Values move with the market.
Origins set structure
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Set number | Set 1 |
| English release | 31 October 2025 |
| Chinese release | 1 August 2025 |
| Base set | 298 cards |
| Overnumbered Legends | 12, numbered 299 to 310 |
| Pack size | 14 cards |
| Packs per display | 24 |
Riftbound launched in China three months before the English release, so Chinese printings of Origins cards predate their English equivalents.
Each of the twelve Overnumbered Legends exists in two printings: a standard version and a Signature version. The Signature carries the artist's authentic autograph and is marked with an asterisk in the serial number.
Origins pull rates
Origins is the only Riftbound set with a complete published rate card, which makes it the reference point for everything after it.
| Tier | Rate |
|---|---|
| Epic | ~1 per 4 packs |
| Alternate Art | ~2 per 24-pack box |
| Overnumber | ~1 per 3 boxes, about 1 in 72 packs |
| Signature Overnumber | ~1 per 720 packs, about 30 boxes |
The Signature figure checks out against the structure. If Overnumbers appear once per three boxes, and one in ten Overnumbers is signed, you'd expect a Signature every thirty boxes, which is 720 packs. Two independent routes to the same number.
Our rarities and pull rates guide covers how the later sets compare.

The finding: the Signature premium is remarkably consistent
Read down that premium column. Eleven measurable pairs, and every one lands between 5.8x and 13.4x, with most clustered between 8x and 13x.
That consistency matters more than any individual price. It means the Signature premium in Origins isn't driven by which champion is popular. It's driven by the treatment, and it applies roughly evenly across the tier.
Kai'Sa's Signature costs eleven times her standard version. Volibear's costs eleven times his. Those two champions have wildly different followings, and the ratio barely moves.
So if you're valuing an unfamiliar Origins Legend, multiplying the standard version by roughly ten gets you close to the Signature.
Graded prices on the standard versions
The non-Signature Overnumbers are the achievable tier, and several grade well.
- Ahri, Nine-Tailed Fox #303: $360.00 raw and $872.31 in a PSA 10
- Kai'Sa, Daughter of the Void #299: $288.63 raw and $775.54 graded
- Yasuo, Unforgiven #305: $83.00 raw and $520.00 graded, a 6.3x multiple
- Teemo, Swift Scout #307: $149.49 raw and $460.00 graded
- Lee Sin, Blind Monk #304: $138.39 raw and $405.00 graded
Yasuo is the standout on multiple. At $83 raw with a $520 PSA 10, it's the cheapest route into a three-figure graded Origins card.
Promos, stamps and alternate arts
Origins has a layer below the Overnumbered tier that's easy to overlook and contains real value.
- Ahri, Alluring, Launch Promo #66: $125.24 raw and $838.25 in a PSA 10, a 6.7x multiple
- Viktor, Leader, Stamped #246: $80.00 raw and $413.64 graded, 5.2x
- Ahri, Nine-Tailed Fox, Prize Pack Promo #255: $250.00 raw
- Buff, Fist Bump: $163.75 raw and $511.94 graded
- Kai'Sa, Survivor, Alternate Art #39a: $70.72 raw and $110.00 graded
Note the "a" suffix on #39a. That marks an alternate art printing, which is a different convention from the Overnumbered system and worth knowing when you're reading a collector number. TCG Odds' rarity guide decodes the full numbering scheme.
The Launch Promo Ahri is the hidden gem here. A $125 card with an $838 PSA 10 beats most of the standard Overnumbered Legends on multiple.
Sealed Origins product
Origins sealed product has appreciated since the set left retail rotation.
A Booster Display trades around $249.99. The Trial Deck: Volibear sits at $800.00 raw with a $2,081.50 PSA 10, and the Trial Deck: Yasuo at $154.36 with a $365.00 graded comp.
The Volibear Trial Deck is the surprise. Graded sealed decks are a niche market, but a $2,081.50 comp on an $800 product is a real signal.
Our where to buy Riftbound guide covers sourcing older sealed product safely.
How Origins compares to later sets
Origins holds six of the ten most valuable cards in Riftbound, which is remarkable for a first set.
The reasons are the usual ones. It had the smallest print run, the least collector attention at the time, and it's been out of retail rotation longest. Spiritforged has since produced the single highest card in Ahri, Inquisitive, but Origins has the depth.
For the release timeline across all five sets, see every Riftbound set in order.
How JK Index helps
We index the full Riftbound catalog with sold history for every printing, tracking Signature, Alternate Art, Stamped and Promo treatments separately from base cards.
Origins is the clearest case for that. Kai'Sa #299 exists at $288.63 and $3,150 depending purely on whether an asterisk sits in the serial number. A single price for "Kai'Sa #299" would be wrong by a factor of eleven. You can browse the full Origins set alongside Spiritforged, Unleashed and Vendetta, track holdings in your portfolio, or check the marketplace.
The takeaway
Origins runs to 298 base cards plus twelve Overnumbered Legends at 299 to 310, each existing in standard and Signature printings.
The number worth remembering is the premium. Across eleven measurable pairs, a Signature trades between 5.8 and 13.4 times its standard counterpart, with most around ten. That ratio holds regardless of which champion is on the card, which makes it the most reliable pricing rule in the game.
