Every Riftbound Set in Order: Origins to Radiance

Riftbound has shipped five sets in under twelve months, and four more are already dated through 2027. For a game this young, that's an unusually fast cadence.

The English game launched on 31 October 2025. Radiance, arriving 23 October 2026, is Set 5.

This guide lists every set in release order with dates, codes and card counts, then covers what the 2027 roadmap tells you about where the game is heading. Schedule details come from RiftDaily's release calendar and riftbound.gg.

Where the game started

Riftbound launched in China on 1 August 2025, three months before the English release on 31 October 2025.

That staggered start matters when you're reading prices or card lists. Chinese printings of early cards existed before their English equivalents, and the two markets have never been perfectly aligned.

By Vendetta in July 2026, Riot had synchronised the English and Simplified Chinese releases on the same day. Radiance continues that, launching worldwide at once.

The release cadence

Count the gaps and a pattern appears:

  • Origins to Spiritforged: 15 weeks
  • Spiritforged to Unleashed: 12 weeks
  • Unleashed to Vendetta: 12 weeks
  • Vendetta to Radiance: 12 weeks
  • Radiance to Legacy: 14 weeks

That's roughly one set per quarter, held steadily for over a year. For comparison, most established trading card games run three to four main sets a year, so Riftbound is at the upper end of that range from its first year.

A fast cadence cuts both ways. It keeps the game fresh and gives players constant new content, but it also means any individual set spends less time as the newest thing, and sealed product moves through its price curve faster.

Our piece on whether Riftbound is passing the tests most new TCGs fail covers what that pace signals about the game's health.

Set 5: Radiance, the current set

Radiance releases 23 October 2026 with 180 cards including 66 Showcase variants.

It introduces three keywords (Deploy, Reveal and Show Off, and Disarm), two new card types (Equipment Units and Bomb Tokens), and nine new Legends.

It also contains only the second Ultimate card Riftbound has ever printed, at roughly 0.025% of packs. The first was Ultimate Baron Nashor in Unleashed, which Riot quoted at about 0.1%, so the Radiance card is around four times scarcer.

One numbering quirk worth knowing: Radiance cards carry numbers like RAD 151/167 even though the set is described as 180 cards. The numbered base set appears to be 167, with Showcase and premium treatments numbered above it.

What the 2027 roadmap shows

Riot announced four more sets alongside Radiance, and the card counts are the interesting part.

Legacy, arriving 29 January 2027, is listed at 346 cards including 93 Showcase, per the roadmap Riot published alongside Radiance and reported by The Escapist. That's nearly double Radiance and would be by far the largest Riftbound set to date.

The Reckoning follows on 30 April 2027 at 264 cards including 67 Showcase.

Then a Bandle City-themed expansion in Q3 2027, and an unannounced Set 9 in Q4 2027.

A jump from 180 to 346 cards suggests Legacy is intended as a landmark release rather than a routine quarterly set. Larger sets usually mean more rarity tiers, longer collecting projects and a different sealed-product economy.

How the sets differ for collectors

Each set has introduced something the previous one didn't, which is why they don't collect the same way.

  • Origins has the most completely documented pull rates, including Overnumber at roughly one per three boxes and Signature Overnumber at about one per 720 packs
  • Spiritforged was described in looser terms, with more than six Epics and more than two special Alternate Art per display
  • Unleashed introduced the Ultimate tier with Baron Nashor
  • Vendetta added Crystal Rose SP cards and the Empower mechanic
  • Radiance adds the second Ultimate, plus Deploy, Disarm and Reveal

Where to find each set

You can browse the full card list and sold history for each set on JK Index: Origins, Spiritforged, Unleashed and Vendetta.

For buying advice on any of them, our where to buy Riftbound guide covers reliable retailers and the scams that follow new releases.

How JK Index helps

We index the full Riftbound catalog with sold history for every printing, tracked set by set and with Showcase variants kept separate from base cards.

That separation matters across a five-set game where the rarity structure has changed with almost every release. An Origins Overnumber and a Radiance Ultimate are not comparable cards, and treating them as one tier would mislead on both. You can track what you own in your portfolio or check listings on the marketplace.

The takeaway

Five sets in under twelve months, from Origins on 31 October 2025 to Radiance on 23 October 2026, with Legacy, The Reckoning and two more already scheduled through 2027.

The number to watch is Legacy at 346 cards in January 2027. That's nearly double the current set and the clearest signal yet that Riot is scaling the game up rather than settling into a routine.
