How is the Pokémon card market doing?
Pokémon card prices fell 2.2% in the week to Oct 2, 2026.
The JK Market Index compares each card's median sale price, grade by grade, with the week before, weighted by sales value, so a change in which cards happened to sell cannot fake a move.

How we measure
Sold listings only. Every number comes from completed sales JK Index collects every day, mostly eBay plus TCGplayer. Asking prices are never used.
Settled weeks. A sale can take several days to reach us. A day counts once six full days of normal collection have followed it, and every comparison is a full seven-day week against the seven days before.
Like for like. Each card is tracked in each grade on its own: ungraded Near Mint, PSA 10 and PSA 9. A card enters a week with at least 3 sales (2 for slabs), a median of at least $2 ($10 for slabs), and prices that agree with each other, which keeps mixed-up listings out.
The JK Market Index. All weeks are estimated together from the same cards: each card keeps its own price level and the index is the shared move, weighted by each card's share of the week's sales value. No single card carries more than 5% of a week. The history is re-estimated daily over the trailing year, so past points can shift slightly as late sales arrive.
Movers need at least 5 sales in both weeks (4 for slabs), a prior median of at least $5 ($20 for slabs) and a tight price range in both weeks. Biggest sales appear only when another sale of the same card and grade in the last 90 days lands within 3× of it, so a typo cannot headline.
Sales volume counts every priced sale, sealed products included, and depends on our collection coverage as well as on market activity.
Market Pulse describes what sold and at what price. It is not investment advice and makes no prediction. See also how card prices are calculated.
