Monkey D. Garp Card Value and Where to Find Him

Garp's entire card catalogue sits under $120, with one exception: a tournament promo at $699.84. His cheapest cards cost 52 cents.

For a character this beloved, that's unusual. And there's a specific structural reason for it that has nothing to do with how popular he is.

This guide ranks every Garp printing and explains the gap. Prices come from PriceCharting's aggregated sold data, pulled 6 October 2026. Rules and set context follow TCG Talk's beginner guide, the OPTCG rules reference and the set calendar at OP Box Index. Values move with the market.

Why Garp's cards are cheap: he has no manga card

Here's the structural reason, and it's clean.

Garp has never received a manga art printing.

Every One Piece character whose cards reach four figures has one. Luffy's manga OP05-119 is $8,405. Zoro's is $2,675.35. Ace has three manga printings topping at $3,804.50. Nami's is $1,891.05. Gol D. Roger's is $4,620.62.

Garp has none. And without that treatment, there's no card in his catalogue capable of anchoring a high-value tier.

That's not a judgement on the character. Manga art cards go to characters tied to specific iconic panels, and Bandai simply hasn't selected a Garp panel yet.

The tournament promo at the top

Garp's only expensive card is the Treasure Cup OP13-016 at around $699.84.

Treasure Cup cards are tournament prizes rather than pack pulls, so there's no pull rate attached. They're distributed at official events to placing players, the same structure that produces One Piece's Championship cards.

That makes it a scarcity play rather than a collecting one. It's the rarest Garp card by a factor of six, and it was never available to buy at retail.

The accessible tier

Below the promo, three cards sit around $90 to $115 and they're the realistic ceiling for most collectors.

The Alternate Art OP02-002 from Paramount War leads at $115.00. The 1st Anniversary OP05-054 follows at $99.99, and the SP OP12-056 at $89.96.

Interesting detail on the Paramount War card: its PSA 10 sits at $77.05 against a $115.00 raw price. Grading it loses money, which suggests enough copies have been submitted to satisfy demand.

The Japanese SP at $66.24 is roughly 74% of the English version, a typical gap.

The one grading opportunity

Most Garp cards have no graded data at all, which makes submissions speculative.

The exception is the Alternate Art OP12-056 from Legacy of the Master: $5.93 raw and $13.94 in a PSA 10, a 2.4x multiple.

That's the familiar cheap-card pattern, though at these absolute numbers it only works inside a bulk submission. A $13.94 PSA 10 won't cover a fee on its own.

The DON!! Card featuring Garp and Luffy together at $24.82 is worth a mention for a different reason. It's one of the few cards pairing the two, and its $19.99 PSA 10 sits below raw.

Where to actually find Garp cards

Garp appears across a wide spread of products rather than concentrating in one set.

  • Paramount War OP-02 has his most valuable pack-pullable card
  • Awakening of the New Era OP-05 has the 1st Anniversary printing
  • A Fist of Divine Speed OP-11 and Legacy of the Master OP-12 have his cheapest cards
  • Carrying on His Will OP-13 has both the Treasure Cup promo number and a $17.61 alternate art
  • Ultra Deck: The Three Brothers ST-13 has an alternate art at $8.13

That last one is a sensible entry point. Ultra Decks are fixed products, so you know exactly what you're getting rather than chasing a pull.

Which Garp should you actually buy?

Around $0.52 to $1.49: the base OP11-095 or OP13-016. Pocket change for set completion.

Around $5.93: the Alternate Art OP12-056. The only Garp with a positive grading multiple at 2.4x.

Around $8 to $11: the Ultra Deck ST13-013 or Paramount War OP02-115 alternate arts. The best value attractive Garps.

Around $24.82: the Garp and Luffy DON!! card. A character-pairing card with no real equivalent.

Around $115: the Alternate Art OP02-002. His best pack-pullable card, though don't grade it.

How JK Index helps

We index the full One Piece catalog with sold history for every printing, including the cheap cards and DON!! cards that most price sites skip entirely.

Garp is exactly the character that gets overlooked by chase-card coverage. Sixteen printings, almost all under $120, and the useful information is which is worth $5.93 against which is worth $115.

You can browse sets including Paramount War, Awakening of the New Era and Carrying on His Will, search every printing through card search, track holdings in your portfolio, or check the marketplace.

The takeaway

Garp's catalogue runs from $0.52 to $699.84, and everything except that one tournament promo sits under $120.

The reason is specific: he has never received a manga art printing, and in One Piece that treatment is what creates four-figure cards. Until Bandai prints a manga Garp, his ceiling stays where it is.
